Cassandra and Stephen’s Casa Loma wedding felt like stepping into a modern fairytale. From the moment you walk through the gates of this historic Toronto castle, the energy shifts — it’s elegant, cinematic, and full of quiet grandeur. And their day was the perfect match for it.
They got ready inside the castle, with sunlight pouring through the tall windows and reflecting off the stone walls. Every room felt like a scene from a movie — and Cassandra looked like she walked straight out of one in her timeless gown. Stephen waited for her in the gardens, and their first look was emotional, quiet, and full of that just-before-the-ceremony anticipation.
The ceremony took place on the terrace, with the castle as their backdrop and views of the city beyond. There’s something surreal about watching two people say “I do” in a space so rich with history. Every detail — the florals, the music, the golden light — felt intentional and full of heart.
Their reception was equally magical — candlelit tables, soft music echoing through the halls, and a dance floor that came alive under the stained glass ceiling. The day was classic, romantic, and completely true to who they are.
What makes a Casa Loma wedding so special is the atmosphere — it elevates everything without feeling stuffy. There’s a sense of timelessness to it, making it one of my favourite venues for Toronto wedding photography. Between the historic architecture, beautiful gardens, and dramatic light inside the castle, there are endless opportunities for cinematic, story-driven photographs.
